How are the scales produced?

Nowadays, there are more and more fancy electronic scales that are loved and welcomed by the general public. So How are the scales produced?  For this reason, we visited a manufacturer of electronic scales – TSEC. From their product line also to understand some of the production process, a better understanding of how the scales produced:

1. Raw material procurement and inspection

First of all, after the customer has placed an order, the buyer of the factory will first carry out the procurement of raw materials, incoming material inspection, and other processes.

A. The materials required for the product will first be purchased through QC quality inspection and then sorted into the warehouse by labeling after passing.

B. If there are any unqualified materials, they will be returned and purchased again to ensure the quality of subsequent production.

2. Glass Screen Printing and Drying

There is a separate screen printing workshop where the glass is screen printed and dried, which is operated by separate screen printing equipment.

A. The logos and patterns ordered by the customer are first colored by the ink.

B. Screen printing is done by the screen printing machine.

C. Drying is carried out by two long drying machines. This is how some lovely and good-looking patterns are made.

In the picture, we can see how efficient and busy the workers are. Each machine is a single line, and we know from the workers that the capacity of a single line is 40,000 pieces per day.

For the screen printing partners may not know much, screen printing refers to screen printing, which is a kind of printing process. Through the screen printing plate, ink, screen printing equipment to achieve the desired effect. Of course, screen printing also has certain requirements, usually only accept 3 kinds of color screen printing, more than 3 kinds will be recommended to customers to use stickers, more convenient and more time-saving.

3. Welding and calibration of accessories

While the glass is silkscreened, the assembly line of the scale base is also installed outside in the production workshop

A. Here there are 8 assembly lines, including the scale frame, battery slot, battery cover, scale feet, anti-slip pads, sensors (electronic scale four corner sensors, will be tested by professional instruments), circuit board welding, Bluetooth module, LCD screen installation, etc.

B. Calibration of the product. This is a step that should not be overlooked. There are special calibration machines that will calibrate and determine the accuracy of the assembled scales.

C. For these semi-finished products, QC spot checks will also be carried out and after passing, the product will proceed to the next assembly process. If they do not pass, the product will be required to be reworked. This also fully reflects the strict testing and responsibility for the product on the production line.

4. Finished product inspection, packaging, storage

A. After the glass has been printed and dried and the scales have been installed, the glass is cleaned and wiped to ensure its cleanliness. The final assembly (scales and glass) will then be carried out by workers on 4 separate packaging lines.

B. Once assembled, the finished product will be inspected by an inspector who will mark it as satisfactory.

C. The qualified product will be packaged. A dedicated packaging line worker will carry out the packaging.

D. Once the finished product is made, an engineer will test the product through a testing process and after passing the test it will be put into storage and await delivery.

E. All finished products will be entered into the ERP system for uniform inventory management. Preparations are made for subsequent shipments.
